Heinzel Group grant challenge for Teach For Austria. €100,000 in contributions sought.

The Teach For Austria scheme was founded in 2011 by Walter Emberger and brings outstanding university graduates to challenging schools in Vienna and Salzburg as “fellows” for a period of two years. Under the motto “My donation makes for education” the Heinzel Group has now launched a fund raising initiative that is without precedence in the Austrian educational area.

If by 6 July 2014, a total of more than €100,000 is received in private and corporate contributions for Teach For Austria, the Heinzel Group will double this amount.

Sebastian Heinzel, whose involvement in Teach For Austria includes membership of the organisation’s board, explains his motivation as follows: “We can best provide support, when we encourage others. With an effort, this sum is achievable and in the coming year will already help Teach For Austria to reach 10,000 children, who have inferior start conditions.”

During the next few weeks Teach For Austria will be advertising for donations in a suitably creative manner and further information is available at URL www.teachforaustria.at/
